HOT YOGA
“It is worth remembering that the time of greatest gain in terms of wisdom and inner strength is often that of greatest difficulty.” – Dalai Lama
Acknowledge the profound impact of habits on your identity—realising that your repetitive actions define you. However, your aspirations surpass mere physical exercise. You crave a deeper connection—to yourself, the present moment, and your life's purpose. Your longing is for a daily experience that evokes awe and transcendence. Embrace the transition from routine to ritual, fostering a more profound and meaningful daily encounter.
YOGA
BUT BRING THE HEAT
Hot Yoga is taught in a room which is heated using infrared heat panels, the room can get to between 36 - 40 degrees celsius. The heat means you will sweat, a lot, it also means it adds an extra layer of challenge to your physical and mental practice that is yoga.
Experience an invigorating and lively vinyasa yoga style characterized by bursts of energy and effort interspersed with brief recovery breaks. Instead of prolonged poses, anticipate fluid movements and seamless transitions. While advanced students can elevate their practice, beginners can comfortably follow our accessible sequences. Be prepared to break a sweat!
What you need to know about our space
-
You will need to bring your own mat, we will have some to borrow if you forget, but please make sure you create the habit of bringing your own.
-
You will also need a towel, hand towel if you sweat a lot and water.
-
Hot Yoga is not suitable for everyone, make sure you have cleared with your health professional before starting something new.
-
Our sessions are limited, booking in is essential.
-
We respect and honour the lineage our yoga has come from, but we teach inclusive to allow everyone to understand and benefit from the practice. We also believe that any movement is essentially training so anatomy and strength is vital for a movement practice.
-
We make sessions accessible for most, however you will need general mobility and cardiovascular fitness. If you haven't done any form of movement before, you might want to look at our mobility sessions first.
-
We encourage you to challenge yourself but safely. Sessions are going to be as challenging as you make them for yourself.
-
If you have an injury you need let us know about the injury before your practice. Our teachers are experts in their field and have strong anatomy knowledge and the ability to modify the practice and give different variations for students with injury.
-
It is important to ensure you seek appropriate medical advice prior to commencing a yoga practice if you are recovering from an injury.
-
Once you enter the hot room we ask that you stay for the remainder of the session, if you prefer you can lie down until the session finishes, this is so we know you are safe and there is less distraction for other students.
